- Lasagna noodles – cooked according to directions
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 4 cups shredded mozzarella
- large size cottage cheese
- Jar of spaghetti sauce (I like Prego Meat Sauce)
Pre-heat oven to 375. Brown ground beef. Drain and add sauce. Layer noodles, meat sauce, cottage cheese and mozzarella. Repeat layers until you run out of stuff. Top with cheese. Cover with foil and cook 25 minutes with foil, then 20 minutes without the foil until the cheese is golden. Yum!
Note: I think the recipe actually calls for an egg that you mix into the cottage cheese, but the last few times I made it I forgot it and didn’t notice.
We tried this recipe and loved it. It was easy and both my 3 year old and 1 year old were willing to eat it, which is always a win in my book!
Thought I’d try making the “super easy lasagna” even easier by using “no boil” lasagna noodles that I found at whole foods. Well, it was a bust. It was too good to be true.
Wah wah wah wahhhhh! Sorry, Sister! Gotta use regular noodles since this doesn’t cook very long. Hope you’ll give it another chance. It’s really good.
