I know, it sounds like a Harry Potter spell, doesn’t it?
It’s a pox virus your kiddo can get from touching a contaminated surface. It causes little blister-like bumps that look like warts or white-head zits. A friend of mine’s daughter had it on the back of her legs. Because of the location of the bumps, she may have picked it up from a public restroom.
If you are a mom with little kids – public restrooms are just a fact of life. Seeing the restroom is almost a form of entertainment for kids, or at least it seems that way. Mine always want to go when we are in a store or restaurant. Do your kids do that too? I tell them to put paper down, but I know it doesn’t always happen–especially if they are in a hurry. Anyway, this is one of those viruses that could totally come our way which is why I am mentioning it here.
Tips for Mulloscum Contagiosum
- Our friends had a hard time getting it to go away, but through trial and error found something that works REALLY well. It’s called Zymaderm, and my friend totally recommended it.
- She also advised against popping the blisters because they can get infected.
