A License to Con

If Santa is coming to your house this year, you have a golden opportunity to con your kids into good behavior.

I learned about this from a friend (thank  you, Susan!). You must get the Elf on the Shelf.  You know when something is created by a mom, it’s going to help you.

What is that, you say? The Elf on the Shelf is a tiny elf that appears near Christmas time and each night he goes to tell Santa if the kids have been good or bad. Each morning when the kids come downstairs they get to look for him. He is in a different spot because he has been to the North Pole and has returned to do some more watching from a different vantage point.

It’s great, and it even comes with a book that explains it all to your kids.  So, go forth and conquer.  I hereby give all you mom’s a license to con!

I agree. We have our elf “Frisbeef” and it’s amazing how my 5 yr old’s behavior improves when the elf appears.

This one took some doing at my house – the 3 year old is highly skeptical. Has been questioning from the start and went so far as to touch the elf and tell us that “he didn’t move and there was no magic.” But we had Santa straighten her out via: http://portablenorthpole.tv. Another way to trick your kids!
