A Trashy Tip

Last summer, I treated myself to some crab legs (sorry, Sebastian). Afterwards, I put the shells in the trash and didn’t think of it again until we had some friends over for a play date. It was really hot so that trash was super extra stinky so I made a mental note not to do that again. I actually felt bad for the waste removal people on trash day. What was I thinking?

Anyway, I just made tuna salad for lunch, but it’s also trash day and the truck has already come and gone. So that means that tuna wrapper will be in the trash for a week and it’s starting to get warm outside. So I just put  the wrapper in an old grocery bag and tied it and put it in the freezer.

Now I just have to remember to throw it out closer to trash day. Seafood + Trash Can + Hot Weather = Staaaanky. Do you guys freeze your seafood trash? Got any stinky trash stories?
