7 Days of Teacher Gift Ideas: Day 2

I’ve been talking to teachers and moms about end of year gift ideas and one thing I heard over and over is how much teachers like gift certificates – even in small amounts – to the places they frequent. So if you are looking for a fantastic way to present multiple gift cards to a teacher – look no further.

I came across this last year and still think it’s a really clever teacher gift idea. It’s perfect because teachers help their students grow.

Here’s how to make one:

Painted two terra cotta pots white with a red dot for each child in the class. Use a black permanent marker to turn the red dots into lady bugs. By each lady bug, write the name of a child in the class.

Then buy ready-made paper flowers or use paper flower cut outs and attach them to wooden dowels to make flowers.

Put the flower “stems” in a foam cube inside the pot and topped it with faux grass.

On each flower attach a gift card with a paper clip. And once the gift cards are used, the teacher still has an adorable container for storage or planting.
