$1 Movies for Kids – Regal’s Summer Movie Express

Regal Cinemas is offering second-run movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. this summer. The cost is $1 per person and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Will Rogers Institute.

This is a first-come first-served situation, so for me that means striking the balance between getting there early enough to get in, but not so early that my youngest has used up all his patience waiting for the movie to start.

Tips: Take something to entertain them while they wait for the movie to begin. Also, if it’s a theater where the seats go all the way to the wall, consider sitting on the side. If your kids get ancy during the movie they can move around between where you’re sitting and the wall.

This is the perfect way to see if your youngster is old enough to handle a movie.  So play hookie from work one day and take the kids to the movies! If it doesn’t go well, leave. It’s only a couple of dollars and it goes to a good cause.

See you (and the kids) at the movies!
