9 Ways to Have Fun Indoors

This morning, my kids pulled all the throw pillows onto the floor in the living room and and were jumping from pillow to pillow trying not to touch the floor. I remember playing that game, but we jumped from furniture piece to furniture piece. Naturally, I didn’t point that out to them, but it did bring back some fun memories. When I was growing up we had carpeted stairs and we would get in a slick sleeping bag and slide down the stairs. Amazingly, no one at our house ever got seriously hurt doing that.

Well, it got me thinking about what we are going to do today and thought I would post a list of possibilities:

Go to the Indoor Movies: Make tickets, movie posters and concessions and then “sell” them before you curl up and watch the movie together.

Make your own treasure hunt with some kind of loot at the end.

Laundry Basket Rides (carpet required).

Build Forts. I totally remember using books to hold down sheets and the books falling.

Play Cards or Board Games

Have the kids Put on a Show

Make Cookies

Wii Dance

Play School. My kids like to be the teacher and teach me.  It’s very entertaining.

Well, if this is a snow day for you, too. Hope you enjoy it! What are your favorite indoor activities?
