Ice Cream Giveaway

I won a year’s supply of ice cream from Blue Bunny earlier this year. It’s the perfect time of year for ice cream, so I thought I would share it with readers of TheMommyhood.com.

Here’s the scoop on the ice cream giveaway. I will select five winners. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on this blog post or on Facebook by midnight Sunday July 24th with your favorite flavor of ice cream.

I’m not a spokesperson for Blue Bunny. I am just doing this because I have it and want to share it with my readers whom I love as much as ice cream (and donuts).

I had never had Blue Bunny before I won this prize and let me just tell you it is REALLY good. My kids like the ice cream sandwiches with the mint ice cream inside called Grasshoppers. I did not care for Banana Split, but I loved the yogurt with pralines and caramel. (Out of all that ice cream I liked a yogurt!) Um, crazy good. Why? The caramel in it was very melty. And you know, I would NEVER have picked that out at a store…but now that I have had it, it’s at the top of my list. The caramel in the Bunny Tracks ice cream is melty, too.

There is another ice cream cone I liked  - the kids liked them too, unfortunately for me – called Champ! The Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae ones are very good (pictured back center). Here’s why they are good. There’s some chocolate shavings on top that have the crunch of cold chocolate. There’s chocolate and brownie and fudge in the vanilla ice cream and then when you get to the bottom of the ice cream cone – there’s chocolate in the tip TOO! That little surprise made me very happy.

So what’s your favorite kind of ice cream? Mine is hands down mint-chocolate chip.

      I actually didn’t eat a single one of the grasshoppers. The kids gobbled them up, so I never got to try them. If you like ice cream sandwiches, I bet that would be a winner for you.

      I forget about chocolate sometimes. I am easily distracted by crushed candy bars, but good ole chocolate is absolutely delicious.

      I don’t think I have ever had extreme moose tracks, but it sounds awesome. Making a a note to self to look for that one.

    I am an equal opportunity ice cream eater but, if forced to choose, I’d go with Buttered Pecan every time. Or Cookies-n-Cream. Ugh, see? It’s like asking me to pick a favorite child!!!

    I’m glad you won the ice cream that is awsome!!! Blue Bunny use to make a Cherry Chocolate Chunk but have not seen it in years…It was awsome!! I guess I must be just an ole’ plain Jane…Still love the Neapolitan…:)

    You know — I will eat Rocky Road whenever I can get it, but my all time favorite is one I can only find when I come home to Tennessee. I love Heavenly Hash which I think is only made by Pet Ice Cream. Can’t find Pet in a Northern Virginia grocery store to save my life, and trust me, I’ve looked at all the stores around!
