TheMommyhood.com wants to help you decorate for fall by giving away this adorable spider pumpkin holder!
Earlier this year, I popped into a store here in Knoxville called Ironic. I had never been there before but loved it because there were really interesting home decor items and everything was very reasonably priced. The store owner, Holly, kindly told me about her business. When I asked about her biggest sellers, she told me in the fall she sells a lot of these spider pumpkin holders. And don’t you know I filed that away…
We’ve had enough cool days that it feels like fall, so of course, I want to decorate. I remembered Holly said she would have some of those spider pumpkin holders in the fall, so I went to look at them. I bought this small one for $29. There also is a larger version for $39. Check it out.
Cute, huh? I love mine so much that I asked Holly if she would be willing to give one away to a reader of TheMommyhood.com and she agreed. Thanks, Holly!

Happy Fall Decorating, Friends!
I love the cool weather and the changing of the leaves (although I don’t like raking the leaves!)
We’ve raked some leaves, haven’t we, Mom? Love ya!
What do I love about fall? What is there not to love? I love bonfires, fall foilage, costumes, scarves, fall decor, and of course pumpkin pie. And then there’s the candy… I have a sweet tooth and unshameful liking for what I call “old man candy.” I think I’m the only person aside from my grandfather who adores candy corn, wax lips, Bit O Honey, and that hard gooey stuff wrapped in orange and black paper- yeah I love those too. You can only get them one time per year!
I love me some candy corn, Heather, but you lost me at the black and orange candy. Even as a kid, I remember trying to sneak that into my sister’s Halloween candy and swipe something else. I love Nestle crunch mini candy bars, but even though they are available, it would never occur to me to go buy one. I just eat them at Halloween. Never heard it called “old man” candy.
I also think wax lips are awesome. Thinking about that actually brings back some great memories. Maybe that’s something else I like about fall – the memories associated with the season.
I also like sweaters and boots. I definitely like fall clothes.
Fall is my favorite season – the warm days and crisp nights, the colors on the trees, apples, Halloween – everything!
Crisp nights for sure. Those are the evenings you don’t mind to take the trash out and you walk slowly back to the house acknowledging the night.
I love everything about Fall. The cooler temps, pumpkins, jeans, and leaves falling down off the trees!
Jeans. Definitely jeans.
Fall cooking: fresh bread, harvest foods, soups, stews, baked oatmeal for breakfast. Summer foods are awesome, but autumn food is comfort food.
You are quite the cook, Paloma! I bet everybody wants to come to your house for Thanksgiving – or for any meal. I remember your fresh crusty bread comment from the GE contest, noting this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship! Harvest food…stews…uh, yum! My husband makes a good beef stew which reminds me of something funny Charlie said this week. I asked him what he wanted for dinner and he said, “Buh, sound it out, buh-eef stew.” Love stew, do you have a favorite?

Fall is my favorite season as well for several reasons, but it brings back special memories of meeting my husband at UT in the Fall of ’89. Love the fall colors and leaves, Halloween, carving pumpkins, going to corn mazes and the cooler temps!
We have really never done a corn maze with the kids. I think this is the year!
What I love most about Fall is the cool weather and changing leaves…..so beautiful!
I totally agree.
In Alabama, our fall season’s colors don’t come in the changing of leaves. They just turn brown and fall away in the winter winds. Our colorful falls come from fall fanatics, such as myself, who create the season here with displays of various and colorful varieties of pumpkins and mums! It helps to shoe in the coming cool breezes of fall, accompanied by a HUGE harvest moon in the night sky under which, droves are celebrating in fall festival venues! It’s amazing how utterly REJUVINATING fall is. I remember and enjoy the delights of childhood once again. It is by far my favorite season each year, that is born in a pumpkin.
* Note* After a month of enjoying out pumpkins, (indoors and outdoors as well) we cut them up and share them as Thanksgiving Day pies !!!! TOO FUN!
Elisha,
You are my kinda gal! What you wrote really paints a picture – especially the big harvest moon. And memories. Well, wouldn’t it be great to have a spider for one of your many pumpkins!
Have a great week.
Heather
I love the fall because it’s when our mountains really get to show off their beautiful colors. The crips morning air and the beautiful golden sunsets. Nothing like it.
I agree, Robin. I love driving through the mountains when the trees are turning.
I Love the fall because of the weather and all the beautiful colors. I also love to watch my kids playing in the leaves, they love it !
That brings back some good memories for me. I remember playing in the leaves my mom had raked. Took some fun pictures of my kids in the leaves last year. Need to make sure I do that again this year.
I like the cooler weather and the colors of the leaves. I liked the post on fb
