I recently hosted a family (minus Amy because she won’t move home like she should) dinner to celebrate my Dad retiring after 50 years as a pharmacist. My (other) sister was in charge of dessert and brought one of my Dad’s favorites – yellow cake with chocolate icing. But instead of cake in a pan or on a cake stand, she cut the cake and layered it with icing in individual dessert dishes, creating cake parfaits! Great idea, Sis!
