Six Words About Motherhood

Read a great article about how Smith Magazine asked its readers to write their own memoir in only six words. It really took off and some of the memoirs have even been compiled into books.

Their site has memoirs by different categories including Life, Love, Happiness, etc. There is even a category where you can write about your mom, but I thought it would be fun to do a motherhood version.

So…how would you describe motherhood in six words? It can be motherhood in general:

Love the kids, hate the toys.

It can be about babies:

Eat, sleep, poop. Eat, sleep, poop.

Or for the kids at my house:

There’s a turd in every toilet.

Or for kids who only know ONE word — why?:

Because I said so, that’s why.

Or maybe they only know another word:

Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy…

Or kids who don’t share your sense of urgency:

I said, “Get in the car!”

Which can only be followed with:

“Get out of the car! Go!”

Okay, now you guys go. Can you think of any?

If you get a chance, you should totally check out Smith Magazine and read some of the memoirs.
