Baked Potato Bag

What’s easier than baked potatoes? Baked potatoes that are ready in 10 minutes!

My sister came to dinner and brought with her a microwave baked potato bag. Um, microwaved baked potatoes? Ew. No, thank you! They are just not as good.

Unless you have the bag. I was super skeptical, but they didn’t taste microwaved to me at all. Ding ding! Winner winner chicken dinner! Total time saver, you guys.

Where to Get One

Because my sister was given this one as a gift, we don’t know where it came from, but I found several on amazon. They range in price from $13 to $16. Not sure what differentiates the bags – it’s just a lined fabric bag with a fold-over closure.

DIY Baked Potato Bag

The amazon ones look totally homemade, so you could probably make one yourself. And If you sew, NO doubt you have fabric remnants so this could be a no-cost venture. (If anyone does that, please let me know, I’d like to know how it turns out).

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the potatoes.
  • Don’t prick the potatoes.
  • Wrap in a paper towel (we skipped the paper towel) and place in the bag.
  • Microwave 8-10 minutes, checking every few minutes.
