We are heading into prime fresh corn season, and my husband’s Aunt Charlotte passed along an AWESOME way to cook corn on the cob in the microwave. It’s fast, easy, and delicious!
1. Buy fresh corn from a farm or farmer’s market.
2. Cook in microwave for 4 minutes for 1 (and 8 minutes for 2).
3. Use oven mit to remove corn.
4. Cut the base of the corn off.
(It will look like this.)
5. Then you hold the corn up and shake it. The corn comes out clean with no silk on it.
Enjoy! (With butter, of course.)

Awesome. I have seen this before but thanks for the reminder as my hubby shucked 12 ears for cookout we had last week. This would have come in handy.
Ooooh… I’m intrigued. We love us some corn, but I always find it to kinda be a pain in the rear to shuck and so we don’t that often. I might just pick up some corn this weekend and give it a go. Thanks!
It totally works! Cooked some more tonight. Had to supplement our corn pile. The fresh fresh stuff came out of the husk a little easier, but it stil totally worked!

Yep, been doing this for years. We pick a few from the garden, bring in for dinner.
Microwave 4 min. Peel back, add butter. So great!
It’s really fun, too. I don’t know why, but when it comes out clean, it’s like a little golden prize. And butter is a must! Love it when corn is in season. Wish we had some in a garden, too!
Yes I will be trying that soon for sure!
