A Strategic First Course

As I have previously confessed, I made whatever parental mistakes you make to produce picky eaters. So, I am always looking for ways to get the good stuff in them. So here’s another thing I do. Over time, I have learned to prepare dinner with a strategic first course. Everyone is hungry, it’s smelling pretty good in the kitchen and my minions have bellied up to the table. But, interestingly, only the fruit or vegetables are ready…

Need I say more? Totally works. They haven’t caught on yet so I am milking it for all it’s worth.

How do you trick your kids?

    Hi Heather!

I put mozzarella on pretty much every vegetable! Sometimes he gets cheddar too. He likes a lot of fruit so no problem there.

Lovin’ your site…read it all the time! Your picture is wonderful!

Thanks so much, Brooke. Good tip – I’ll try it. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
