White Chocolate Chex Mix

Also known at my house as “Scooby Snacks” is absolutely delicious. We make it each year to take to parties or just to have at home. It is quick and easy and if you use holiday colored candy, it makes a beautiful gift.  This is what I decided to do for some of our teacher gifts along with a gorgeous ornament I will tie to the celophane wrapped package with silk ribbon.

All, I can say, People, is YUM!

Here’s how to make it:

3 c. Rice Chex
3 c. Wheat Chex
3 c. Cheerios
3 c. pretzels
2 c. dry roasted peanuts (I usually omit the nuts)
12 oz. Peanut M & M’s
1 lb. white chocolate (I get white chocolate chips)

Melt chocolate 30 seconds at a time in microwave. Mix with all ingredients. Pour it onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Break it up when the chocolate is completely dry. (Note: Sometimes it’s easier to separate the dry mix into two bowls and melt half the chocolate and mix, then repeat with the remainder. It’s a lot to mix, so get a big bowl.)

Enjoy!
