Did I ever mention I lived in Bangkok? (Yeah, that’s me on the right with the Amy Grant hairdo). Well, I did, back in my globe-trotting days. I worked for a company called Novartis for a summer as an intern. And one day while I was desperately looking for Fruit Loops getting healthy groceries, I found some peanut butter AND a new friend – Stephanie Zito.
We had some fantastic adventures. When I left Thailand, Stephanie was still there teaching and we lost touch for a while. But thanks to Facebook, I found her recently and learned that she and a couple of her friends have started a business. They work with some Cambodian moms (and pay them fair wages) to make gorgeous hammocks for their company called ColorCloud.
So I thought I would mention it to you in case any of you are looking for a Father’s Day gift idea. Plus, I love women in business – especially great women with big hearts. In fact, my pal Zito has been hunting worthy organizations and giving $10/day to them. She’s good people.
I would love to have one of these hammocks – not only for its function, but I think they are gorgeous and I would love to take pictures of my husband snuggled up in one with the kids. I can just see the pictures in my head…if only I could decide on a color combination.
For advice on picking the right hammock for Dad, visit the ColorCloud web site. And I thought this was cool, they have something called a Cloud Tracker where they have pin-pointed some of the places their hammocks have been.
The cost is $57 each, and they ship out of Chattanooga, so you DO have time to get one for Father’s Day if you order soon.
And I know this post is for a Father’s Day gift idea and all, but might I just say that GIRLS RULE!
This is such a great gift idea. The drunken sailor has been ordered & is sure to be a hit. Thanks for sharing!!
YAY! I love the blue on blue, too. I am so glad this was helpful. You’ll have to put some pictures up on your blog and let me know so I can link to it.

Oh my gosh my Hubs would love the blue one!! Hmmm…you’ve definitely given me something to think about. What a great gift for a great cause.
Hi Beth! Hope you are well. Makes me think of an outdoor nap on one of those perfect days!
