How To Connect Your TV to Your Computer

If you have (or want to have) music, TV shows, movies and other content on your computer and view or play it through your TV, you can use one of the devices mentioned in this video.

Also, according to my super-smart brother-in-law you have options with a PS3, Wii or Blue Ray DVD player. He tried to esplain it to me, but I didn’t understand what he was talking about. Mostly because during his explanation over the phone I was cooking dinner and standing over the stove with a spoon full of gravy to taste. Meanwhile Charlie (4) kept banging on the arm with scalding hot spoonful of liquid to get my attention. And during that chaos my brother-in-law was using all kinds of terms I wouldn’t understand even under ideal circumstances…

Anyway, I do understand this video, and I hope you will find it helpful.

Do you guys have your TV connected to your computer? If so, what do you use?

And a big thanks to Digitwirl for sharing ways technology can make our lives better!

We’ve had our computer connected to our tv for several years. We connected it when we decided to buy an old school metal antenna and just watch the tv channels that we get for free over the airwaves (don’t miss satellite or cable at all!). We didn’t need any kind of special thing-a-magic like mentioned in this video to do it — just had to make sure our computer’s video card was compatible with our tv which it was since our tv has fairly standard connections. It’s convenient to be able to access the internet from our tv and watch things on HULU for example, scroll videos ac ross our tv screen, play music saved on the computer, etc.
