And Give Us This Day, Our Daily Wound

It’s spring break, so my husband took the day off of work and we decided to take the kids to see Rock City in Lookout Mountain, Ga.

Here are a few pictures.

The swinging bridge.

We even ran into the Easter Bunny. (My kids now think the Easter Bunny lives at Rock City.)

A good time was had by all. It was the perfect day for it and luckily my not-so-purple-anymore foot held up fairly well. Then it was time to leave…

At the exit, you have to walk through a turnstile and it was really tough to move so I was helping my son, Charlie, walk through but he didn’t quite move fast enough so it whacked him in the back of the head. (Mom of the year!) I felt so bad. Poor kid. Well, I have always had an appreciation for symmetry. One lump on the front of his head — and now one lump on the back. Actually, I am totally exaggerating the wound. It just seems like everyday there’s something with that one.
