Saw something clever recently. I was at our local splash pad water park and saw a baby in a swim suit and…leg warmers!

Okay, so this is more of a girl option, but the baby was able to crawl around on the pavement and not scratch up her chubby little knees. What a smart mom!
As for the boy option. I put my son in long swim trunks. He’s three, so he’s not crawling. But with the long swimsuit, if he falls he is less likely to scrape up his knees. Plus, there is less skin exposed to the sun.
If you want your baby to be a maniac and you don’t want to buy leg warmers, or can’t find them this time of year, you can make them! Here’s a link with instructions on how to make baby leg warmers.
“Baby Legs” are great. I made a ton when Brooke was little. They are great for beginning crawlers and for those who use cloth diapers (which we did). They have gotten so popular that Target now carries them!
I figured they probably weren’t available in the summer, but it’s great that they are. You gotta love Target! (Hard to get out of there and spend less than $100. Not sure how they do that, but they are certainly good at it!)
I keep a pair in my diaperbag and/or purse in case we go into a restaurant that is chilly and put them on her arms. We love baby legs!
That’s so smart. Thanks for sharing!
