Quick and Easy Start-Up Garden

My mom gave me a packet of seeds, so I went to The Home Depot and picked up a couple of clay pots. My daughter and I covered the rims of the pots with some chalk board paint. Then we planted the seeds and labeled them with chalk.

It’s a quick, easy, and fun way to start a little garden. The kids can water the plants and if they grow well, we will eventually have another project when we move them to larger pots or the ground.

And it was inexpensive. We already had some potting soil and chalk and I borrowed the chalkboard paint from a neighbor, so really the only cost was for the pots (under $5).
