So, if you have been around TheMommyhood.com much you have probably noticed that I am into making simple treasure hunts for my kids. I have even used a treasure hunt to ease my departure when I was traveling.
In fact, I went on a trip a few weeks ago and left my kids with a series of envelopes to open each day I was gone that led them to little treasures hidden around the house. They really got a kick out of it, so I totally recommend it.
What I didn’t expect what would happen with my youngest. My son, Charlie (4) had a treasure hunt ready for me when I got home. How cute is that?!
“Look in a brown bag in the living room.”
Behind a sofa cushion I found this lunch bag with a star clip closure.
Inside the bag were two chocolate-covered granola bars.
He was beside himself with excitement.
He’s a generous person in general, and I LOVE that he paid a treasure hunt forward.
Ever do any treasure hunts with your kids?
Now that is just too precious!!!!
Thanks, LuAnne. He’s only a stinker some of the time. He’s mostly a sweet kid.
How cute?!?! My little one surprised me with a hug just because the other day – he walked up behind me – said “hug,” and gave me a huge hug! Gotta love it!
I love it. It’s really great just to know they were thinking happy thoughts about you, isn’t it?
