Ahh, motherhood moments. They evolve as your child grows – or at least that’s what I am learning. Our house is always filled with interesting things the kids come up with. This blog has been helpful in that it makes me stop and go get the camera. Otherwise, I would probably just laugh and go on. Later, I will be glad we have a record. (I hope. Or, if not, I am gonna be really mad I spent all this time chronicling it!) Anyway, this batch of motherhood moments are from my son Charlie, who is every bit of five-years old.
Booby Trap.
Apparently, Charlie is Data from The Goonies.
“That’s what I said, I said I’m setting booty traps in case anyone’s chase us – like the Fertellis. Quiet SHHH!”
Here’s a 20 second clip if you wanna watch it.
When you are five, you plan your birthday all year long.
This “Parte” invitation was found in a paper airplane.
Charlie wanted to carry this cat around while trick-or-treating and ask people to put candy in the bag by the cat’s butt.
Yet another reason we do not have a real cat. Another reason. And another reason.
Fueled by candy, this is what Charlie made with tape and little plastic cups. And you know…today’s Dixie Cup® pyramid could be tomorrow’s beer pyramid. Much to my dismay, he’s probably going to be REALLY fun at a party one day. For now, (all evidence to the contrary with that big box of NERDS® sitting there) we are trying to limit the food with dyes and encourage good behavior. But when he’s older and on his own…well, all bets are off!
Anyone have a motherhood moment you caught on camera that will make us laugh? Feel free to email me at Heather at TheMommyhood dot com!
Love that boy and his great ideas!
Thanks, Jen! Wonder what he will do when he’s not five…
