A friend and I were in a long buffet line at an event. We each had two little kids (plus ourselves) for which to make plates.
“Hmmmm? I muttered to the lady in front of us, how am I going to fix three (glass) plates and wrangle these two kids through the line without making a mess and a commotion.”She looked at me and calmly said, “Stack the plates and divide the food at the table.” I looked at her in awe and then whispered, “Brilliant, thanks!” She replied, “Mother of four.” (Thank you, Christina! Hope I remembered your name correctly.)
Anyway, I told my friend and we did that for our kids. Worked like a charm. How do you manage this kind of situation?
Seriously, this is the kind of stuff we should be telling each other. TheMommyhood.com can be our forum, so come off with your tips, people. Let’s help each other out.
Have a great holiday weekend!
LOVE this idea. Seems like common sense, but I never would have thought of it. Thanks for sharing!
Wow – genius! And, no I wouldn’t even have considered the thought! But, thanks for the tip (to you and Mom of Four)!!
We sat by your parents tonight and were wondering where you guys were! It was a year ago tonight we had this conversation! I did indeed get the blogsite from your mom!
Great to hear from you, Tina! I bow down to your wise ways. Sorry to miss you guys at the shin dig, but I hope you all enjoyed the festivities! Thanks for checking out TheMommyhood.com and thanks so much for your fabulous tip. You rock, sister!
