Paying It Forward With Shampoo? Yes.

On the hunt for simple ways to pay it forward? Here’s one thing you can do that costs nothing but makes a difference in someone’s life. Take hotel, travel-size shampoo/conditioner and soaps to the homeless shelter.

When we stay at a hotel, we bring our own soap and I collect the hotel shampoo and soaps to donate. I did this when I attended GE’s Momsperience last month and we stayed at the fabulous C21 Museum Hotel in Louisville, Ky. And they had some luxurious soaps! Here’s hoping that peppermint bar soap will be a little treat for someone who could use a little pick-me-up. Oh, and my mom gave me some makeup remover she got as part of one of those free Clinique gifts, so I put that in the pile as well.

My husband just finished a long run of travel for his work and he’s been collecting soap the whole time.  So, now we have a REALLY big stash to donate! (Thanks, Babe!)

For other ways to pay it forward at no cost see an epiphany in the dentist chair and get the cart.

Any other ideas on ways to pay it forward?

Wow! I loved reading this post, plus the other two you mentioned. What great ideas…easy, simple, but impactful!! (And I’ve gotta say, props to you for donating the 21c soaps. I LOVE them!! Someone will be smiling because of that donation for sure!!)

Thank you for your sweet comment, Beth. I just hope the C21 soaps aren’t given to a man!
