An Unexpected (But Fun!) Thing Happened, Thanks to GE Appliances

So, I was blogging along when I got an email from our friends at GE Appliances, who asked if I would be interested in trying one of their new hybrid stainless interior dishwashers with hidden controls.  And since our existing dishwasher sounds like a 747 during takeoff, they pretty much had me at hello.

The new dishwasher was delivered yesterday and here’s how that went.

The truck arrived, and I took a picture with it.

What?! Why?! I know. I am a former UPSer.
We take pictures with trucks. I don’t really know why.

Okay, back to GE. My kids were VERY excited about the delivery.
Charlie (5), in particular, was all in everything.

Note: When you get a new dishwasher, the installers are going to need to get under your sink. So, seemed like a good idea to make this…

Tip! Leftover shelf liner also makes a great rug pad.

The installation began.

“You’re really strong,” Charlie said to the installer. He thought the install was eternal, but I think it took less than 30 minutes.
(Shout outs to David and Larry of  R.A.S. Delivers.)

And then it was done.

Out with the old…and in with the new. This thing is so new, it’s like a mirror. Which is code for: I had to clean up a mess on the floor you could see in the reflection of our shiny new GE dishwasher.

To be continued…

Can anyone relate to a loud dishwasher?

Disclosure: This is a sponsored blog post. All opinions are my own. Looking forward to trying it out, and telling you guys what I think. Thanks, GE, for this opportunity.

Wow! Now I want one. We can’t hear our television (or the voices in our heads) when our dishwasher is on. :) And LOVE that Charlie was so excited too. Adorable. Let us know how you like it.

Will do. Just getting started with it. Going to use it for a bit and then report back.

Can’t wait to hear more about how it works, I’m sure you will love it! I love that Charlie is so interested in things like that.

He talked NON-STOP while they were here. I know he’s five and it’s a phase. Most of what he said was funny. Some of it was sighing and asking why it was taking so long which is more embarrassing than funny. It was actually quite quick (to everyone but Charlie).

That’s so awesome!!!! Good for you, congrats & enjoy!!! Ours is pretty loud. We wait to run it until we go upstairs to bed so we don’t hear it’s loudness!!

GE Appliances are my favorite! I had an entire line of GE Profile when we lived in Illinois. That is what my husband had to promise me in order to get me to move to the cold weather! I loved them and miss them dearly!

Gotta say I am a pretty big fan of GE right now myself. Our current appliances came with the house – we inherited them. Despite their age (and flaws) they all work, so I can’t justify replacing them. Needless to say, I am REALLY happy about the dishwasher situation.

I wish that happened to me. My dishwasher is 25 years old. Talk about loud… I have to turn the television in my living room up louder so I can hear it when my dishwasher is running. I need a new one, but just can’t afford one right now.

Whenever the time comes, this one is a winner. And, it’s very reasonably priced. I like it a lot.
