I…am a lover of fabric. My sewing skills are not awesome, but I can make basic home decor items like throw pillows and I made the crib bedding my kids used. But mostly, I just think about projects a lot and cruise fabric web sites.
Recently, I found some really inexpensive fabric that would be great for kids rooms or in a nursery, so I thought I would share a few of my favorites. Note: most of these are under $10/yard, so these are really affordable options. Most are from fabric.com.
I love this. You could pair it with a solid or small check or dots in any of the colors in it, and it would adorable.

Here’s another one I like. This, too, is gender neutral and would make great baby bedding.

I love this green and blue stripe.
There are some coordinating polka dots that could go with this, but I think this would be very striking paired with simple ivory. Something quiet because this is pretty bold. And maybe a little bit of cherry red to accent it.

I’m NOT really into “themes” when it comes to room decor, but I DO think it’s cool that you can find The Very Hungry Caterpillar fabric.
This would make a cute baby blanket or a throw pillow for a kids room.
This reminds me of some Hungry Caterpillar Cup Cakes I made for my son’s birthday a while back.
While those colors are bright and fun, I tend to go for decor that’s easy on the eyes: softer colors. I love this…
I think the warm brown, green and blue in the pennant are SO pretty and this wall color is very soothing.
